Evelyn Hosking Obituary

Plainfield - Evelyn Hosking, a kind, gentle, loving wife and mother, passed away late Thursday night, Oct. 13, 2005, at the Villa Maria Convalescent Home in Plainfield.

She was born Evelyn Hazel Hass in Oakland, Calif., on Dec. 7, 1915, to her late parents James and Annette Hass originally from Norway.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leslie and son, Neal.

She is survived by her son, Clifford Hosking and his wife, Eileen, of Griswold; a grandson, James Hosking and his wife, Jennifer, of St. Clair, Mich.; a great-grandson, Aidan, also of St. Clair; her sister, Viola Ford and niece, Susan Ford, of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; a niece, Kathy Creel of Plano, Tex., a niece, Marilyn Twyman of Walnut Creek, Calif., and a nephew, Steven Hosking of Vacaville, Calif.

She will be missed and always in our memories and prayers.

No flowers please, only a prayer and, if you like, a small donation to the Salvation Army in her name.

The Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home, 490 Voluntown Road, Rt. 138, Jewett City, is in charge of private arrangements.

I am truely sorry for your loss. My condolences to your family. We had Evelyn for a short time in our care at Second Home in Norwich. She was a great Lady and a spirit that wouldn't quit.
