Frances Swanson Obituary
She was born on May 8, 1917, in Norwich, the daughter of the late Mary Byington and Andrew McGuire Sr.
She is survived by daughters, Patricia Dupont of Waterford, Nancy Henkle of Lady Lake, Fla., Frances and Justin Paoloni of Westfield, R.I.; a son, Leo Kelly Jr., of New London; a sister, Katherine Davis of Rome, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. She has stepchildren, Judy Shelton of Groton, Ingrid Nazarchyk of Uncasville, Wash., Eric Swanson of Narragansett, R.I., and William Swanson of North Stonington.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Leo Kelly Sr., second husband, Maurice Harvey, and her third, Eric Swanson. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Barbara DiMaggio; grandson, Daniel Hayes; and granddaughter, Carol Lyn Ilvento; brothers, Andrew McGuire Jr., William McGuire and Daniel McGuire; sisters, Mary Arnold and Virginia Vadney.
Many thanks to Bayview Healthcare Center for the excellent care and compassion given to our mother, a resident there for the last five years. Also, thanks to Masonicare for their excellent help.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in St. Mary Cemetery.

I absolutely adored waiting on the Swansons when they had lunch at Cherrystones in OL once a week. They both were so good to me. I enjoyed seeing them together and making Mr Swanson his special house salad with only lettuce and tomato. Mrs Swanson was always so put together looking lovely. So sorry for your loss
