She was born in Geneva, Ill., daughter of Vivian (Urch) Madsen and the late Otto H. Madsen.
On Oct. 15, 1955, she was united in marriage to Dudley Clifford Dahlquist in St. Charles, Ill.
Jackie was best known for her caring personality and always had time for those in need. She was very active member of the Taftville Congregational Church and served as the collector for many years. She also served on the deacons, sang in the choir, and currently was on the greenhouse growers and the stewardship committee.
She was the wife of a career Navy submarine chief for 20 years. She also worked for many years as an administrative assistant for the S.V. Chudy Co. in Lisbon. Jackie and Dud enjoyed RV camping. They were long-time members of the Holiday Ramblers and belonged to the two Connecticut Chapters, # 156 and 55. She was a loving wife, mother, and mama to her (chickens) three grandchildren and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Dudley and two daughters, Kenlyn Lee and her husband, Ken, of Danielson and Danette Dahlquist of Norwich; her mother, Vivian Madsen of St. Charles; sister, Virginia Minard and husband, Ralph, of St Charles; three grandchildren, Matthew G. Lee, Kristen A. Lee, and Shawn P. Dooley; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister, Merikay Lindell.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan 8, 2008, at the Taftville Congregational Church. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan 7, 2008, at Godere Funeral Home, 21 North 2nd Ave., Taftville.

I have known Jackie for as long as I have been alive. As we have been members of the Taftville Congregational Church for many years, decades, so have our families. She is always a special person and will be missed tremendously. She gave so much and I am glad to have had the honor of knowing her as long as I did. Jackie, you are an angel who was given to us. We were so blessed. May God Bless you and your family forever and ever. Amen.
