James Germain Obituary

Niantic - James Paul Germain, 79, of Niantic, died Saturday at his home.

He was born in Norwich, Feb. 21, 1946, the son of Alma Germain. He was the husband of Sally Germain who survives him.

Mr. Germain had been a wine and liquor salesman for Brescome Distributors. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army.

In addition to his wife Sally, he is survived by a son James P. Germain Jr. of Enfield; daughter Terri Germain of Waterford; two grandchildren, Gary D. Ahlberg Jr. and Kyle J. Ahlberg; a great-grandchild Duane James Ahlberg.

Calling hours will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Matthias Church, followed by interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Norwichtown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be shared on James' memorial page at www.neilanfuneralhome.com.
