James Izbicki Obituary
He was the son of the late Chester and Bertha (Pisczezk) Izbicki. He worked as a lead mental health worker at the Norwich Hospital and at Uncas on Thames Hospital.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 243 Route 164, Preston. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 35 Cold Spring Road, Suite 412, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.

I knew Jim from our work at the old Norwich Hospital where we became friends.He was a kind and friendly person that i came to know during our many years of friendship.My wife and I send our deep sympathy to his family.

Our condolences to Karin, and Jim's brother's and sister on the passing on of Jim!Worked at Norwich State hospital and Southeastern mental health authority with Jim, He took pride in doing his work well.Live at employee housing at Pond view on the same floor with Jim.He was a good guy who passed on way too soon.May He rest in peace.

Growing up with Jimmy in the 60s he became one of my closest true friends. Sharing the pure joy of constant fishing, hunting, camping, and just hanging out together created a deep and warm bond. The Izbicki family treated me and as one of their own and the times spent at their home became a welcome and happy part of my life. My Thoughts and Prayers go out to All Family and Loved Ones. Without Jimmy and this time in my life I would surely be much less. What Fun we had. The Sea Pig Forever!

Jim was one of my closet friends for all those years at the job-- and outside the job. We had many adventures nd more fun than people should have. Me personally and our hospital family has just put another special soul in that special Norwich Hospital corner. My thoughts prayers are especially with Karen and the rest of his family.
