James Kirby Obituary
Jim was an avid sailor and musician. Maryanne worked for Unilever in Clinton for over 30 years and enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. They are survived by their children, Michael Kirby and his wife Kate of Westport, Karen Argarin and her husband Lou, of East Lyme and James Kirby and his wife Melissa of Darien; grandchildren Jason, Evan and Kyle Kirby and Nicholas and John Argarin. Maryanne is survived by her sister Sandra Miller and her husband Ed of Fairfield and nieces Jonna, Noelle and Gina and nephew Sean. Jim is survived by his brother Robert Kirby of Sydney, Australia and Nephew Liam. They were predeceased by their grandson Alexander Argarin.
Calling hours will be held from 8:30 -10:15 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 7th at 11am in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, Grove St., Clinton. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the ALS Association.

Dear Karen and Lou and family,
We just wanted to say how deeply saddened we are by this tragic loss you all have had.
We are glad that we had the pleasure of meeting your parents and visiting with them a few times at various activities at your house at school.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Jim and maryanne kirby. Such wonderful fun loving kind people. I am so glad I spent alot of time with them everyday.
I will miss you both so much.you both were friends bit also like grandparents to me.
I will miss our chats and side breaks.the hugs .
I am still in shock and keep looking for you at the condo..i wish i could just hug you.but I know your together and are in heaven watching us all.may you both rest in peace and until one day we will all see each other again.
