Jason Coutu Obituary

Jewett City - Jason "Cout" Coutu, 46, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 5, 2022. Born in Norwich Feb. 27, 1976, he was the son of Lawrence Coutu of Vero Beach, Fla. and Donna (Bridges) Coutu of Oakdale.

Jason grew up in Ledyard and was a graduate of Ledyard High School class of 1994. He will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor, his huge heart, his love of fishing, cooking, sports, and motorcycles. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was always the life of the party.

His time here was much too short but his memory will live on in all of us.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son Ezra McDuff-Coutu of Ledyard; Ezra's fiancée Emma Larson of Ledyard; granddaughter Evelynn Mae McDuff; brother Lawrence J. Coutu and spouse, Philip Anetrella of Oakdale; and sister Kelli Coutu of Providence, R.I.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 11, at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 11 Jerome Road, Uncasville. A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, at the Avery Stoddard Cemetery on Avery Hill Road, in Ledyard.
