Mr. Butler, as I called you back when you were my 5th grade teacher, you were my favorite teacher growing up. So many fond memories that I still remember to this day as I stand here at 51 years old. I´m so sorry that I didn´t recognize you when I would see you at the shop over the past few years...I would always wave and smile, but had I realized that you were THE Mr. Butler, I would have hugged you. Much love to you and I hope you rest peacefully with your fellow angels. You will be missed by so many. Much love.

John and I were classmates at Uncasville School in the 1950s. I haven't seen him lately but would bump into him every now and then. Always a friendly "hi" and a good conversation. Rest in peace, John.

I am so very sorry to read this. Johnny was my next door neighbor at Gardner Lake. It was a seasonal house for us, and Johnny would always look out for us, checking on the house and keeping us updated. He sold the house a few years ago and it was never the same. We missed him so much! I would continue to reach out to him, he would do the same, always making sure our family was doing well. I always enjoyed my conversations with Johnny, leaning over the fence. He was a good man, a really good friend, a man of loyalty and honor and I will miss him dearly. RIP Johnny.

Whether talking college basketball, handicapping at the Plainfield Dog track or just having beers at the Brown Derby, John was always good company. RIP

John and I were students at Providence College during the early "60s. Both of us basketball fans, we followed the Friars faithfully. John refereed basketball in the city leagues in Norwich, so we continued to see each other every year, and enjoyed catching up.
John was always in a good mood, and I looked forward to our conversations. I will miss him, as I know his family and friends will as well . Please except my condolences on the loss of a good man.
