I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for those remembering John at this time. I was a friend of his in my early twenties. He was so easy going and a joy to be around. May he rest in peace.
Miss you much.

I didn't know John in his adult life, but I remember him from high school. He was a really nice guy. My condolences to the family. God bless.

Hi Sue,
I'm very sorry for your loss. I remember John as a baby and I also remember you and the rest of your family very well from Henry Street in New London.
Best wishes, Norman (Skip) Smith

Thank you all for your messages. I married and moved out of New London when John was 14; and he moved so much that I know little of his adult life. There will be a short service today, Friday 4/15/11 at 1 pm at the Hickey plot in Elm Grove Cemetary, Mystic, CT. I know this is short notice; all his friends are invited.

John, Spending time together virtually every day for 3 years along with Joe Muscarella,Tom Ferino,Gonzo,Esh,Woody,Boo.Those days were filled with joy and laughter. We were teammates on some great little league teams(Hemco).I'll never forget the great fun we had working at Chuck's Steak House.'Hit the Lights"WPONKY". You turned alot of us onto Black Sabbath and Marc Boaln's T REX.Dressed in your floppy leather hat and "SHAG" coat. Your personality gave us great laughs and times that will never be forgotton." ICMWLM" GOD BLESS YOU IN HEAVEN, Sean Ruth
