John Ralls Obituary
He graduated from Fitch Senior High School in 1972. He worked as a senior electrical design engineer at General Dynamics, and various naval agencies both here and overseas in Scotland. In his later years, he was employed at Medtronic Technology in Groton until retirement.
Johnny was very independent and adventurous. His mother often called him, "Beaver,", or "Beav" (for short) because he was always busy. In his spare time, he enjoyed outdoors sports.
Johnny leaves behind two sisters, Ellen Jones and Barbara Ralls Turner; nieces and nephews: Joseph Jones III, Danielle Jones, Jared Jones, Jeremy Jones, Jennifer Thornton and Christina Thornton; as well as, grandnieces and grandnephews. He also leaves behind two brothers-in-law, Joseph H. Jones Jr. (Ellen) and Dr. Robert Thornton (Pamela). Johnny is predeceased by his parents, John D. Ralls Sr. and Eleanor Evans Ralls; and sister Pamela Thornton.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 25, at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic. If you're unable to stand, please bring a lawn chair. For complete obituary information, please visit www.dinotofuneral.com.
