He was born to parents Steven Jeffrey Boucher and Janet Rabon Boucher at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, New London, on May 18, 1984.
He is survived by both his parents; his brother, Jeffrey Steven Boucher; and grandparents, Ronald and Ruth Boucher and William and Marge Rabon. He will be remembered by his family of nine aunts and uncles, 27 cousins and 11 second cousins, with whom he spent years of memorable experiences.
He will always be remembered by the love he had for the children in his life and his adventurous nature. A child at heart, he would seek to spend time with the children leading expeditions, mastering the art of wrestling, and teaching the art of archery.
As a youth he spent his time in Connecticut playing soccer, camping, hiking and snowboarding. He graduated from East Lyme High School in 2002. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, with the intention of serving his country in combat. After boot camp he was deployed with the 1st Battalion, 41st Field Artillery, 3rd Infantry Division during Operation Iraqi Enduring Freedom where he served as a brave and fearless soldier. For his combat service he was awarded the Army Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service. While in Iraq, Jon's unit was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for Exceptional Bravery and Heroism in the liberation of Baghdad. In addition, Jon was awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. He was extremely proud of his service and his brave comrades of the "Wolf Pack" battalion.
After his honorable discharge he completed training for automotive technology at Connecticut School of Electronics. Upon completion he moved to Saratoga and began work for Hoffmans in Glens Falls and Saratoga. Currently he was working as a locksmith for Mangione Locksmith, were he took great pride in learning and mastering a new trade. He was always a dedicated worker, and dependable employee.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tunison Funeral Home, 105 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Jon was a true individual who I will always remember. He was one of my closest friends and I extend my deepest sympathies to his family. He was always good for a laugh, but never failed to surprise me with the wisdom he could drop. I will always carry my memories of Jon and he will continue to bring a smile to my face.

Bobby Boucher, That name just says it all. When you read it or say it you'll instanly put a smile on your face. You can't help but not to. Bobby was a good dude and at times a little crazy. I think this is why I enjoyed his company so much. Bobby was a dude that would truly do anything for a friend. Like, go over to your familly's house while your over seas just to take out the trash. He was a cool dude. I will most definitly miss bobby.
Cheers to Bobby

To the family, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss and my thoughts are with you. I remember playing with Jon on the Lillie B. Haynes playground when we were in elementary school. I got in trouble for wrestling with him in the sand box just to impress a girl. He was a good friend. I honor him for serving our country.

John Boucher was one of my best friends. I met him in elementry school, and we were friends past high school. My best memories were when we went snow boarding in Vermont, and spending hours hiking in the woods near my house. John was a fun loving person who could make anyone laugh. He enjoyed bike riding, snow boarding, hiking, offroading, and spending time with family. I'm going to miss him a lot, my only wish is that I had spent more time with him before he moved to New York. I hope nothing but the best for his family. Maybe reading all of these fond memeories that people had with John, will bring them some peace.
Sincerely,
Chris Moore
