Only recently did my husband and I start to get to know Joe through seeing him out in his yard while on our dog walks. It was always lovely and enlightening conversation. Truly sorry to hear of his passing and sad that we won't get the chance to have more of those interactions. Sending our deepest sympathies to Joe's family.

Such a blessing to call Joe a friend for the past 16 years. Amazing man who left a legacy of helping others that will be impossible to forget. I always enjoyed his warm demeanor, genuine care for others and great conversation. If "paying it forward" had a spokesman, Joe was the chosen one. May he rest in eternal glory.

We will always carry you spirit with us, You are loved by so many and missed Dearly. Fly high my warrior. <br />

Joe was such a blessing to those he served and to those of us who called him “friend”! He knew no strangers and greeted everyone with his warm smile and humor! We would all look forward to seeing him on deployments because no matter what was going on, he made things better! He truly was part of our family and will be greatly missed!
