Joe graduated from Horace C. Wilcox Regional Vocational Technical School in the sheet metal trade. After graduating in 1970, he was employed for many years by Sheet Metal Workers Union Local No. 40 in Rocky Hill.
He accomplished many things in life. Joe was an avid scuba diver and went on to start the International Scuba Center in Plantsville. He lived his life to the fullest and had many interests such as fishing, diving and a love for boats. He enjoyed playing a variety of musical instruments, and billiards. Most of all, his love for family was always first.
He will be missed dearly by all of us.

I have a lot of great memories of
uncle Joe that I will cherish forever. The great times will stay in my mind and heart forever. One day we will reunite again, but not yet. Not yet.

I will always remeber my uncle Joe as a man who touched the heart of every kid he met. Everytime my uncle Joe would come over he would always act like a kid, so it was really easy to get a long. I'll never forget when my uncle Joe and uncle Sam tossed me back and forth. My uncle Joe will always be in my heart forever.

Togetherness
Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Put no difference into your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, Pray for me.
Let my name be the household name it always was. Let it be spoken without the shadow of a ghost in it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. What is death but a negligible accident. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight. All is well, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
Joe, this was too beautiful for me not to share it with others. It is as though you are speaking these words to all of us, and I can hear your voice. With each day that passes, Joe, my Heart feels more pain, I miss your hugs, smile, laughter, stories, praises, lectures, advice, Joe, I JUST MISS YOU!!!!

My Uncle Joe, was a very nice and kind man, he loved to do all kinds of things like sailing, scuba diving, fishing, etc., but the one thing he liked doing the most was spending time with his mom, dad, brother and sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles, and neices and nephews. A few years ago my Uncle Joe and my Uncle Sam took us fishing and we had a blast!! We caught alot of fish we had so much to cook, only Zio Joe didn't like to eat fish. Those were one of the best memories I had of him. I know you are up in heaven with all of our family who have passed away. I know you are up there making everyone laugh, like you always made us laugh. Zio Joe may you watch over us every day of the year and protect us.
With all my love, Your Neice Natasha......who misses you very much

Today we held for my brother Joe, a memorial mass in Toronto. Joe must have been smiling down from heaven, knowing that 1000 people attended to honor his new life. That is just part of how many lives he touched with his winning smile, touching heart, and practical jokes. Gosh, how we miss you so! Joe, I didn't say goodbye, because I will be waiting to hear from you, in your own special way. Just don't take too long! I love you with all my heart, and treasure the memories you left behind. Always and Forever, your sis, Roseanne

My uncle Joe was a very loving and caring person. Although he had a love for many activities, such as: fishing, scuba diving, sailing, ect , Family always came first for him. There was this one story my mom told me about, my uncle joe. He was bartending one night when he invited his sisters to come see a show at the bar. After the first showing he asked them if they would like to see the second. They all stayed, although the manager had come and had asked them to leave so that other people could sit down. After Joe had seen this he walked up to the owner and yelled at him, he told him that no one tells his sisters to leave and he quit on the spot. That just shows how he won't second think about any of his actions when it comes to family they are always first. There are so many stories we could tell you so many things he has done in life and if he did have a longer life span he would have completed everything possible. Well thank you uncle joe for always puting us first. We love you so much and we are so hurt that you are gone now. Love Always, John Paul.
