Hey neighbor - I think about you often, my friend, wondering what fishing spot you decided on today? I know you are watching closely over everyone and mostly your amazing kids, their successes and your beautiful granddaughters. I miss you very much and miss our occasional phone calls while you were taking a break at work. I hope you hear me when I just shout out Hey Joe! Miss you! and you probably just laugh at me. I was recently looking through old photos and came across a video I took of the scenic drive in NH and when the phone video caught you for a second while you were driving and you adamantly told me to stop because "you don't do that". I chuckled at your reaction and watched it a few times because it was good to see you again. It made me smile. Miss you Joe!

I'm so sorry and shocked to read Joe has passed. I used to work with him at Home Depot and afterwards would bump into him around town sometimes. He was one of the funniest people I knew and was always helpful and could cheer you up in no time if you were having a bad day. Last time I saw him was several months ago at Job Lot and he was so excited about being a grandfather! Joe was one of those people you could chat with as if no time had passed regardless of when you last saw him. I'll miss bumping into him and rehashing the "old days" at HD and chatting about our "new lives". Heaven's gain for sure.

Joe. A man of integrity and a true friend. We worked together for years at the dock. A coworker that I respected and a compassionate and passionate man. Joe always kept it real,an honest man that could be trusted. R.I.P. Joe.

To the Gregoire family and Dee,
It was snowing hard that day when Joe trudged the long way around to my door and introduced himself. "I have 4-wheel drive, do you need anything at the store?" he asked. Since then, there have been a thousand kind favors big and small, and a thousand chats with friendly hellos. Joe was never too busy to be considerate and thoughtful. He went out of his way for me many times. One freezing night he left a meeting in Groton to dig my Honda out of a snowbank!
He brought me chicken soup and split pea soup, and lots of fresh caught fish. He brought me Thanksgiving dinner when my dad was in the hospital. Last Thursday he helped me set up my lawn sprinkler, opened a can of paint thinner, and then picked a lovely bouquet of his lilacs for me.
Joe was a helper, a good citizen, a great neighbor, a mentor, and dear friend. He loved all of you so very much, and was so pleased to be a grandpa to Maura. May your good memories of this wonderful guy comfort you.

It makes my heart ache to think about your family facing this profound loss. You should have had more time here. There must be some mistake! It just breaks my heart that Maura will not get to personally know the awesome Grandpa you were. Maura will have to learn her fishing skills from Conner, but I know you will always be there in spirit.
I am just so thankful I was able to experience a NH trip with you the fall before last. But this unexpected departure really messes up my plan to buy the lot next to you so we could be neighbors again!
I am so proud to have had you as my life-long friend for all these years. I know you treasured our friendship as much as I did! I have so many awesome memories that I will hold on to forever. You were an amazing friend, sibling, Dad, Grandpa, and a great person with a heart of gold! Until I see you on the other side my friend, you will be forever in my heart! Love you Joey!

My thoughts and prayers for Joe´s family.
I worked with Joe. He was always fun, thoughtful, helpful and hard working. Joe was always ready to jump in and lend a hand or just make us laugh. Joe was easy to talk to. I looked forward to hearing his stories about NH, fishing and his new granddaughter. I will always miss his banter and big voice. He kept our spirits high at work.
Rest my friend and happy fishing.
