Karen Scheck Obituary
Karen was born in New London, May 12, 1940, the daughter of Christopher and Valerie (Kobolski) Hess. A 1958 graduate of New London High School, she was employed for 38 years at Greentree Manor as a licensed practical nurse.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Scheck Jr., who stood by her side through life's joys and challenges. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and cherished memories. She is also survived by her sons, Ralph Scheck III of Canterbury, and Michael Scheck of Oakdale; a brother, Donald Hess of Oakdale; a sister, Sandra Fisher, of Waterford; grandchildren: Christopher, Ian, Caroline and Olivia Scheck; and a great-grandchild, Draven Scheck. Karen was predeceased by her beloved son, Daniel, whose memory she held dear in her heart; her sister Eileen Radicioni; and her brother Christopher Hess.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic. Karen's funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New London.
