Katharine Teper Obituary
Katie was a devoted mother and loved theater, music and dancing. We will always remember her beautiful smile, her caring personality and her enthusiastic spirit. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed. When you think of Katie, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
Katie leaves behind her parents Carolyn Arnio Hogg and Andrew Mellisy; stepfather Randall Hogg; brother David Mellisy and fiancée Anna Miller; children Natalie Teper and Harrison Teper; former husband Scott Teper and his parents Cinda and Richard Teper; stepson Sam Teper; aunts Liz Canales and Kathleen Lennon; uncles Ted Arnio and Michael Mellisy; cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her uncle Richard Arnio.
Arrangements are private due to COVID-19, but a Celebration of Life for Katie will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to benefit Natalie and Harrison at https://gf.me/u/yuvdas. Please visit Legacy.com to sign Katie's guestbook and share a memory.

Not a day goes by that I don’t cry or minute that a new memory of you pops into my head. Every time I close my eyes I can still see your face and hear your laugh. I’m sorry for so many years we lost that we won’t get back. You were my sister, my best friend, my love and so much more for so long that it feels like yesterday that we were together. Without you I would not have done the things that I have done or become the person that I am. I am grateful to have had you for as long as I did. I will miss you everyday!

I had the honor and the privilege of working with Katie for the last year or so; someone who could bring levity to situations shared with her...I'll always remember her as someone with a great mixture of humor and brilliance...I especially enjoyed the times she told of the sweet and funny experience she had with her children...may Katie rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of this great loss to so many. Katie was one of my first and favorite students in my 20 years in Montville. I loved when she was in my class with her infectious smile, attitude and enthusiasm. Katie tap-danced her way into audiences' hearts as the first act in 2 variety shows because of her talent and confidence and sang joyfully in choir!
