Kathleen was born on Jan. 28, 1918 in Norwich. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Epps Sr. She attended New London schools and was a graduate of William Memorial Institute, class of 1940. She was an avid reader and belonged to the friends of New London Library. Kathleen worked at Connecticut College, and at Electric Boat during World War II. She was a member of USO United Services Organization. Her last job was at Sheffield Tube Co.
She is survived by a brother, James Epps Sr., and sister-in-law, Maureen, of Waterford; and a sister, Louise Sebastian, of New London.
She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Epps Jr., of New Haven.
She also leaves many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. The family will receive friends at 1:30 prior to the service. Burial will be private.
