Kathy McCourt Obituary
Kathy was a graduate of Waterford High School, The College of New Rochelle BSN, and went on to get her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science/ Chicago Medical School in 1987 specializing in neonatal pediatrics. She was a practicing pediatrician in San Mateo, Calif. Kathy loved children and spent many hours volunteering in the free medical clinics.
She was a communicant member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Burlingame, Calif.
Kathy is survived by five siblings, James W. McCourt of Texas, Donald D. McCourt of Oregon, Teresa (McCourt) Detwiller of Ohio, Walter C. McCourt from Georgia and Michael A. McCourt of Florida.
We would like to give our heartfelt "Thank You" to the medical team on the ICU floor at Mill-Peninsula Medical Center for the exceptional care and treatment provided to Kathy during her hospital stay.
A very special thank you to Angelica LaBrado for her friendship and loving care she provided to Kathy, especially during her final days. Words cannot express our deep gratitude.
Kathy's ashes will be interred at St. Mary's Cemetery in New London. She will be laid to rest Friday, Feb. 18, 2022.
A celebration of Kathy's life will be private and held at the convenience of the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please spend time with your family and tell them how much you love them in her memory.

Dr. Mc Court was the pediatrician for my first 2 children. She was wonderful to us and helped this new mom with no family near by. Rest in Peace.
