Katy will forever be remembered for her smile, kindness to all, and her courage. I have always appreciated how Katy was a friend to so many and she could always find a reason to laugh and have fun despite what else may be going on. She was fierce! Always taking a challenge and facing it with determination and ease! Sending so much love to her beautiful family.

I am heartbroken to hear of Katy's passing. There are no words that will make this better for any of you, but please believe that if I had the words to ease your grief, I would pass them on to you. Remember her joy and her love of life, talk about her every chance you get, and talk to her whenever you feel like it, no matter who else is listening...........scream at the night sky that you miss her. Someone told me this once, and it's so true: "She buried little pieces of herself within your heart, your mind, and your soul.......little breadcrumbs of love to show the way forevermore". My thoughts are with all of you. Jane Marolda

My fondest memory of Katie was one time when she had taken a couple of the girls n my daughter to a softball game...after the game my daughter called n said they were leaving to come home be there in like a half an hour...it ended up being like an hour n change n I started to get worried ...katie n the girls come to my house after getting McDonald´s cracking up in the car acting like school girls having a sleep over...n that´s when I realized my daughter was safe n loved...and Katie was one of the only people outside my family lol knew she was safe with...she will be so so missed ....
