Kurk Gus "ZPTV Kez Pacino" Johnson

1976 - 2021

New London - Kurk Gus Johnson, 45, passed away Oct. 23, 2021, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. He was born May 5, 1976, in New London to Marianne Martha (Koepp) Adams and the late Robert Edward Johnson.

Kurk went to New London High School. He had several jobs in the area: he was a chef and dishwasher at Sunset Ribs in Waterford, staff security at Waterford Speedbowl, worked at Applebee's in Groton, Allied Moving Company and Chili's.

He loved to go to Mohegan Sun Casino and have jello shots of oysters. He would DJ at parties and enjoyed grilling in his backyard.

Kurt is survived by his son Eliyas Michael Bobby Johnson, the mother of his son Regan Torres and her mother Sandra Self and her son Michael; his mother Marianne Martha (Koepp) Adams; sister Sandra Lynn Johnson and her children, Robert Aaron of North Carolina, Dajae Aaron of Oklahoma, Ashley Murphy of Virginia, Marilyn Almonte of Florida and their families; aunts, Edelweiss Spottswood and her children, Emma Penn, Amanda Cruz, Buckey Roselund and their families; Sabine Smith and her son Eric; and Doris Green and her children, Kenneth and David and grandson "K-Black". He was predeceased by his father Robert Edward Johnson.

A Memorial service will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Retired Armed Forces Association Inc, 135 Garfield Ave, New London, CT 06320.

To all his friends, He loved you very much and he loved his son very much. He was the light of our life.
