I was just thinking about Kyle and what a great guy he was. I know this is 12 years later, but I miss him. With all the awful stuff going on in the world, I was thinking we could use more people like Kyle Sheets. Genuinely good people, with big hearts. Kyle, if you can see us down here toiling about in Coronavirus world, please help us stay focused on the good things in life. We miss you buddy! See you on the other side!

To Kyles family, I was with Kyle the night of the tragedy. We were playing pool down at John's- he let me win. I cant help but think that if I had went to grab something to eat with him like he wanted this never would have happened. I fell out of touch with Kyle the last few months, however got back in touch with him a couple of weeks before his passing. I at least got to talk to him or see him every day for those two weeks. My heart goes out to your family. As a good friend, he truly will be missed.

I was fortunate to know Kyle because of his job at Masons Island Marina. His knowledge related to boats was impressive by anyone’s standards, and he always displayed a feeling of confidence and pride in his work that all could envy. A quiet, unassuming, and extremely capable fellow who enjoyed more in life than most living twice his too short life . My condolences to his family. Kyle touched the lives of all that knew him.

Kelly and Russ,
There is nothing I can say that will express my sadness at Kyle's passing and the circumstances surrounding it. The last time I saw Kyle he talked about you, quick to share how much you both mean to him. I'll never forget his smile. The world is a sadder place. Love Gina

Dear Family of Kyle,
I too did not know Kyle, but I read about his tragic death in the paper and wanted to let his family know I am so sorry for their loss. May the memories you have of Kyle make each passing day a little easier to get through. I believe, despite what happened to Kyle, that there are many more good people in the world in which we live than there are bad. At least I hope there is. I am one of them that wishes Kyle's friends and family comfort, peace, and hope. God Bless You All.

To Kyle's family:
I didn't know Kyle very well. We were in a few classes together in high school. I remember him as a private and quiet person. I just wanted to send my deepest condolences. May Kyle rest in peace.
