Lee white, I feel like I met you, after reading your column. I wish I had. You truly loved life and enjoyed everything. May you Rest In Peace and cook on in the heavens!

New Orleans. I remember talking to Lee and I had mentioned that William F. Buckley, Jr., was a dinner guest at my house when I was younger. In that AirBnB in NOLA, Lee scoffed at the mere mention of his name as Darcy & I perusing the Sunday NYT. I said that WFB told me to actually listen to the other person´s POV bcuz I could possibly learn something about them. He & others graced our dinner table and Lee was duly impressed but the best thing she gave me was a lifelong friendship with her daughter, Darcy. TYVM, Lee.

Where to begin? This is a wonderful tribute to one of the largest personalities I have had the pleasure to know. I worked with Lee at The Bulletin and we became good friends. She loved people with all her heart and energy. Her home in Canterbury was such a sanctuary -- and her greyhounds! What a woman. She leaves a void, indeed.
