Dear Luann, Micky, & the entire circle of Lucille´s family `n´ friends,

First Luann...and Sofia...love at first sight. Later Micky `n´ Lucille...yeah...the Waterford Dog Park WAS DA PLACE, once upon a time. Made some terrific friends there...these among `em!

Understanding the hole left behind, regardless forewarning, pray this helps some wee bit...to allow...enable...the grief! And grief will come...indulge it...it is necessary, but it is also a measure of the impact this lost love had on your lives! Too, remember the pain of loss is but the flip side of the coin from heaven´s celebration, rejoicing over the new arrival!!! So truly sorry to hear about your wife, mom, friend. Definitely keepin´ y´all in our prayers that Christ hold you close in this trying time!

When my mother died, even after a years-long battle with cancer, I was shattered by the loss...inconsolable...she was my mentor! BUT, "If your faith assures you she's in heaven, then what are the tears all about?!?" I hold eternity with God a precious, cherished, and hard-won prize...but...in the interim, the answer lies below.

SELFISH TEARS
(I EULOGIZE MY BELOVED MOTHER - MARCH, 1989)

Today we cry...must admit they're selfish tears.
You see...our faith assures your journey's done.
But it's not for you we mourn, at all, my dear;
It's for those of us you've left behind...alone!!!

We share your joy...share your happiness at rest,
Your painful fears now for forever stilled.
You've fought the good fight, passed the final test,
But you've left behind a hole that can't be filled!!!

So, until we each rejoin you some someday,
And, while your memory buoys us through those years,
We'll miss you...but continue on our way,
And, from time to time, we'll cry our selfish tears!!!

Ray Hamilton ~*~ March 19, 1989

Our sincerest condolences...loving prayers,
(-=< Ray `n´ Mindy >=-)

Lucille was so sweet when I was a student at new London high school she always was helping me out with different things. Then I came to work at New London High School and enjoyed her company in the office. During that time I remember Louann was born and we had a baby shower at the high school for her. Sending my condolences to all of you

I'm so thankful to have met Lucille when she was hired as the secretary at the First Congregational Church in New London in the early 2000's when I was organist there. She had a very witty sense of humor, and we really hit it off right from the start. Micky and Luann, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll never forget Lucille and will fondly remember the times we shared.
