Margot M. Robbins

Montville - Margot M. Robbins of Uncasville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015.

Margot was born in New London to Percy T. and Margaret H. MacDonald.

Margot is survived by her mother, Margaret H. MacDonald; her children, Jennifer and Brian Robbins; her grandson, Zachary Robbins; her sister, Karen Jones and family; and her aunt, Billie Feher; Margot also had many cousins and many friends. All will miss her dearly.

Margot was a graduate of Waterford High School. She later went on to graduate from Mohegan Community College in 1987 with an associate's of science in nursing. She also obtained her bachelor's degree in sociology from Eastern Connecticut State University.

Margot worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Developmental Services as a clinical nurse coordinator. She also worked per diem at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse on weekends.

Margot loved to travel. She had been many places in the United States, and had enjoyed trips to Scotland and Ireland with her parents and daughter in 2010. She also loved her work as a nurse, and never liked an empty house. She was famous amongst her family for her Fourth of July parties and fabulous potato salad. She will be greatly missed.

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery will be private.
