On behalf of everyone at Pine Point School, I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to the extended Moore family. It's quite likely that your family holds the distinction of having the longest extended relationship with the School - beginning in the fall of 1960 and continuing on through the graduation of a grandchild in 2009. But more personally, I lost both of my parents within 16 months of each other; I can't imagine doing so in less than three months. The world just feels different, it is different, when both of your parents are gone. I hope the coming days and weeks bring with them a flood of memories of the many happy days you shared with Marguerite - when you were a child and later in your adult relationship with her.

May 20, 1964 I arrived at the Moore residence in Pawcatuck as a nanny for the Moore children. What started then in 1964 has evolved over 56 years to one of deep friendship and love. Mr. and Mrs. Moore treated me so kindly in my early days of homesickness- I am originally from Scotland. Mrs. Moore and I corresponded regularly and I will always have a special place in my heart for both of them. My sympathy goes to their beautiful family who also have always kept in touch with me. I am truly blessed for having known this special family for so many years.

To Alex and the entire Moore family. I am sorry for the loss of Mr. Thomas Moore and Mrs. Marguerite Moore. I can not imagine how hard it is to loose both of them in such a short time. They are together once again. God bless the Moore family.

My memories of our mother go back many years. She was always incredibly kind to me and we always had great conversations when I saw her at the OH or at the Club. You always knew where you stood with her, which I greatly admired. This Christmas she sent me an angel and said it was because I was her angel at the Club. I will always treasure it and keep it in a place of honor and think of her fondly when I look at it. It was a privilege to know her and she will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss, please know that her memory will continue on for so many of us.

To all of Marguerite's Family,

Please know I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your Mom. Although I only knew Alexandra and Susie, your Mom was a huge force at the Pine Point School where my children also attended. I looked up to her with tremendous respect, as she was so efficient and capable when organizing a large event at the school. Her taste was impeccable and she seemed to know everyone and how to organize with ease.

In more recent years I would bump into your Mom - at of all places the hair salon, and although I was not quite sure she remembered me she was so very friendly and a pleasure to encounter. Simply a lovely, elegant woman, your Mom was a treasure.

Most sincerely,
Karen Anderson and (family - Bob, Elaine & Jim)
