Mary took me under her wing when I was a young bride far away from family. She understood from personal experience what it was like to start a family far from home. Mary became a second mom to me and then she and Peter became bonus grandparents for our children. I have many wonderful memories of chopping down Christmas trees, long talks about anything and everything, and just spending time together. My oldest daughter and I were incredibly blessed to be able to visit with Mary over the summer. I am so thankful for that time!
My deepest condolences and sincerest sympathies to her family and friends.
Rest well, my dear friend. You are reunited with Peter and with our Lord.
