New London - Mary Rondomanski passed from this life on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, to finally join her beloved husband Leon.

Mary was born in 1925, in New London, the daughter of Archangelo and Dominica (DiMarco) DiMaggio. Her parents came from the town of Tusa, Messina, Sicily. She was first raised at the family home on Moore Avenue and then by Albertha and John Ware. She was known as "Mary May" after her graduation from Williams Memorial Institute in 1943.

Over the years, she worked for Southern New England Telephone Co., Sears Roebuck and Co., Connecticut College, Jordan Marsh, and the Uncasville Dunkin' Donuts.

On Oct. 9, 1948, Mary married Leon Rondomanski of Steward Street at St. Joseph Church. They later moved to Lloyd Road in Waterford for many wonderful years until his death in 1981. She then resided on Upper Marina Drive in Uncasville. Mary was very devoted to her family and friends, leaving Joan Festa of Uncasville and goddaughter, Rachel Jenkins of Tennessee and many others.

She is survived by her daughter, Leona Greiner; granddaughter, Amy Greiner; great-grandson, John Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed the love and support of her former son-in-law, Lee Greiner.

Mary was predeceased by seven brothers, Leo, Joseph, Rosario, Anthony, Nicholas, Angelo, and James, and three sisters, Concetta Fusco, Rose DiMaggio and Francis DiMaggio.

Her family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 17 Squire St., New London. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
