My family lived on School Street across from the Logan family. My brother David and I had many adventures with Jim. On behalf of my family, our deepest sympathy to both Jim and Bette.

I spent many years living on School Street across the street from Mrs. Logan. I have fond memories of her through out all of my younger years with her collies and advice. She was a wonderful lady and may she rest in peace.

It was a pleasure to have been a visiting nurse to Matilda and Tom, just prior to his death. It was clear how much they loved and respected each other. She always insisted I have a cup of coffee or tea and made me eat the latest little treat she had baked. Tom hand-welded me a rack for my pressure cooker that I still use today, and always think of him. Matilda was very proud of all his skills and would brag about him. I enjoyed our visits when she was at Windham Falls as well. She always told you what she thought, and we loved to discuss our Catholicism together. She taught me so much about the history of Groton, and I always think of her as her pass their old house on School St. She had such fortitude and strength, evidenced by living life for a wonderful 106 years! You are with your Lord Matilda! Peace be with you! My thoughts are with your family.

I'm so glad I became her Italian caserta friend and pray I meet her again soon in paradise.
