Maud Felton Obituary
Funeral Services for Maud Felton will be held on July 3, 2014 lla.m. at the Colfax Civic Center, 1290 Main Street, Colfax, LA. 71417. Interment will be at Farenzie Cemetery and arrangements are under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary of Pineville.
Maud Jewell Felton, 62, of Colfax departed this life on June 25, 2014.
Sister Maud Felton was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Willie Bell Jewell; Brothers LV Jewell; Brother and Sister-N-Law Johnny R. and Lydia Jewell, Alfredrick and Arika Jewell; and Sister and Brother-N-Law Rosa Mae and Joseph Holmes.
She leaves her great memories to a loving and devoted husband, Herman Felton; Her loving and dedicated children Myra Vanessa Jackson Fretty, Herman Donzeal Felton, Derrick Darrell Felton (Angela Dunn), Natoya Nicole Felton and Alvin W. Hines; Three brothers Earl B. Jewell (Linda), of Lakeside, Texas, Willie M. Jewell (Mary), of Colfax, Vernell Jewell of Alexandria; Sister-N-Laws Lucille F. Hamilton (Rev Tom Hamilton), Jennifer F. Brown both of Colfax; Six Brother-N-laws Richard Felton (Dorothy), of Columbus, South Carolina, George Felton (Laura), of San Antonio, Texas, Edward Felton (Brenda), of Charleston, North Carolina, Edwin Felton (Beverly), of Baton Rouge, James Felton of Dallas, Texas, Charles Felton of Colfax; Eleven Grand Children Adrianna, Kevin and Kayla Fretty, Jamaroquai Jackson and Jordan Felton, DeShante' Williams and Derrick Felton, Da'Coriun, Te'onna and Natalya Hines; Three God Children Cholonda Holmes, Shevita Johnson, Mitchell Aaron. Children of Love Yolanda Orr, Darrin Sapp, Andrea Swafford- Turner and Kedrick Moses and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, friends, and the Community of Colfax.

I met Mrs Maude when I did my internship at Pinecrest almost 15 years ago. She was so kind to all and very helpful to me, which Im sure was no easy job!! She made an impact on all she met! My prayers are with her family, as I know she is in heaven watching over us!

Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. Maude was a wonderful person and I will always remember her for her smile and sunny personality. In every conversation we had she was always encouraging and gave honor to God. Family be comforted in knowing that she is at peace and "to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord". Maude was one of the sweetest people I ever met. She was not ashamed to Praise the Lord and would tell you in a minute that He is worthy !!! Family stay strong and be forever encouraged in the Lord ~~~~
