Merrill Lozanov Obituary
Merrill enjoyed golfing, swimming and woodworking. He kept his mind active, staying abreast of new developments in his career field and was an avid reader. Merrill and Laddie, his terrier, took daily walks around the neighborhood. They knew and enjoyed socializing with all the neighbors, two and four-legged.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Cheryl and Helene and her husband David; grandchildren, Sarah, Charlotte and Ethan; and family and friends. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Joan, of 70 years.
Merrill's funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic. Interment will follow in Beth El Cemetery, Groton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Congregation Beth El (bethel-nl.org or call 860.442.7112).

Our family has known Mr. Lozanov for over fifty years, and he was a remarkable man. Merrill would always stop by and chat and offer a good word when he saw a neighbor out in the yard. In fact, he just stopped by a couple months ago and asked how our Family was doing and we caught up on the latest news. Our sympathies and prayers to Cheryl and Helene and their families, who have lost both of their parents in the span of just a few months.
