Michael Olano Obituary

Michael Lynn Olano, resident of Nevada, passed away on 18th October, 2010 at the age of 55 at home in Winnemucca, Nevada.

Michael was born on the 26th of May, 1955, in Burns, Oregon. He moved to Nevada as a young child with his parents Miguel & Margaret Olano. Michael aka "Mike Jr." worked at the renowned Winnemucca Hotel with his parents most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Miguel "Mike" Olano and his mother, Margaret Becker Olano. Michael is survived by his cousin, Jose Mari Alcaide Olano of Fresno, California; Uncles, Amancio and Jose Antonio Olano; Aunts, Basilia, Maria Lourdes, Josefina, and Maria Ines Olano; plus extended Olano family all over the Basque region in Spain; Aunt Ann Becker of Moscow, Idaho; cousins, Jennifer Richards of Port Orchard, Washington and Roseann Becker of Tacoma, Washington.

A Memorial Service will be held at St Paul's Catholic Church, 350 Melarkey Street, Winnemucca, NV 89445 on January 29, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Winnemucca Basque Club, P.O. Box 3560 Winnemucca, Nevada, 89446 or St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Stayed at the Hotel in the early 90's. Mike Sr. and the whole family treated me very well. When Mike Jr. took over I would always drop and say hello and he would have my beer ready with out me asking. He always remember what i drank. He would talk to you like it was last week. good times. His family was p
art of that. RIP to all the Olano's. And thanks for your friend ship.
