Nicholas Haralambidis Obituary

New London - Nicholas John Haralambidis was born into this world as a true mama's boy Sept. 2, 1995, to the late Heather Winslow and George Haralambidis of Waterford. Nick was the grandson of his Papa, John Winslow of Oakdale and Pam Kearney (Mike) along with his Papou, Eli and his Yia Yia , Vossi Haralambidis of Waterford.

Born with an infectious smile and heart of gold, Nick captured the souls of everyone he met. To know Nick was to Love him – a gentle giant whose love for his family and friends was never in short order. He was a loving man and if love was enough, Nick would still be with us today.

Nick attended both New London and Montville School systems and was active in Baseball and Football earning All ECC and State Distinction in Football for Montville. An avid sports fan, Nick broke his family's heart at the age of two when he declared his love for the Philadelphia Eagles. Growing up, he could be found most Sundays regretting that decision, while yelling at the TV at his beloved Yia Yia's house. His family will attest- the temper tantrums were real.

Nick left this world to be with his mother Feb. 13, taking a piece of all that loved him with him. Along with his father and grandparents, Nick is survived by his bonus mom Rachael Haralambidis and bonus dad Jason Jeffcoat. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Heather Winslow and friends AJ, William and Eric. He leaves behind his beloved siblings, Marissa Winslow, Jeremiah Jeffcoat, Donovan Jeffcoat, Caleb Bazinet and Zachary Haralambidis along with bonus brothers, Jeremiah Cox, Eddie Suarez and Rashad Pauley. Nick heartbreakingly leaves his niece Alayah who was the love of his life. Nick was loved by his aunts, Andrea Goodrich, Jamie Winslow, Kitsa Haralambidis , Mariana Turner and Kristen Peltier; along with uncles, Nicholas Haralambidis, Matthew Goodrich, Steve Daggett and John Turner. His cousins who were more like siblings - Sam and Mitchell Santiago (Mackenzie), Emily and Billy Goodrich, Savanna Aponte, Ahmir, Tahir, and Eban Jacklin, Matt, Tannor, and Alexis Daggett, and Justin, Jade and Jordan Sutherland are left behind to grieve him as well. The amount of friends who survive him is too great to mention names, but just know Nick loved them with all he had to give.

In lieu of Flowers or Donations, the family asks that you perform a random act of kindness and think of Nick when you do. Reach out to someone who is struggling, tell them you love them and that they matter and pray that Love is enough to see them through one more day.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 11 Jerome Road, Uncasville. A Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home and burial will follow at Jordan Cemetery in Waterford.

My heart breaks for all the people he left behind. I did not know him but I know several family members so I know he was a good guy. Hold on to the memories.
