Came to my house 2 days before his birthday spent time with me and bazz. Never thought he would pass and that it would be the last time I spent time with him and the last time I would talk to him on the phone the day of his birthday. he had a beautiful soul. I thank god I have 4 years of memories. My deepest condolences to his family he loved deep to his soul.. you all are in my prayers

It is with sadness to learn of the passing of Otis Guess. I knew he and his family well. Would always see him when I visited my good friend Rosalyn Kelly over on the front porch at the "Kelly´s" compound as I used to call it. Never a dull moment there with all the gang and Otis. Those were great times and fond memories. I know that he will continue to be a pleasant Joy in Heaven with that beautiful smile he wore daily. May his soul rest in peace.

To the Guess family,
The Hardy family ( formally of New London) would like to send our condolences and share that Otis had been my brother Angelos good friend growing up. Otis was such a postive and beautiful soul that shared stories of he and my brothers teenage years that made me laugh and grateful that we spoke. Otis also expressed how proud he was of his kids and grandkids and all he wanted was to retire in the future to spend more time with family. I am saddened by the news of his passing but know to know he is soaring with with the angels and I am sure Angelo greeted you along with all the friends and family that you have touched with kindness over the years.
Sincerely,
Monica- Deboragh and Beatrice Hardy

I had the privilege of working with Otis not only at SEAT, but also at another public-sector job, in Southeastern Connecticut. In both situations, his demeanor was consistent; appreciative, clever, courteous, positive, and hardworking. While this world grieves this loss, Heaven is celebrating.

Otis was a good man who was taken to soon. Rolling into the yard after a long trying day and meeting up with the ever smiling Otis just made the day's stress disappear. I enjoyed our many small talks. Otis had such a great demeanor and I will still be looking for him when I drive into the yard. May God comfort all those who will be missing a very special person. Rest well and thanks for the many uplifting conversations that we had. I will miss you.

I've known Otis just about all my life since he was a little boy. I remember when he drove that big snow truck one winter and at this time NL had gotten alot of snow & I was knee deep in it.
There I was trying to shovel my car, when here came one of those big snow trucks & it blew its horn ( scared the heck out of me) oh my God the truck started cleaning the snow from around my car. To my surprise it was Otis & he jumped out the truck grinning & boy was I so happy & grateful. RIP/RIH OTIS

Having only worked with you for barely three years, I was able to admire your sense of loyalty to family, when to speak and when to observe on many an occasion, and your willingness to impart your wisdom as needed. You were a class act, Otis Guess, and that's a rarity. It was a honor to know you, and will be in my thoughts for quite some time to come. Godspeed, sir.
