Patricia Lee Obituary

New London - Patricia Ann Lloyd Lee, 79, lifelong resident of New London, passed away Nov. 10, 2024. Patricia was born Oct. 3, 1945, the daughter of Phillip Lloyd Sr. and Minnie Tyndall Lloyd. She was a graduate of New London High School, class of 1963.

Patricia met the love of her life, Carl Lee in 1961 and they were married August 28, 1965.

Patricia and Carl had two children: son Brian (Diane) and daughter Carleen. She is survived by her sister Margaret Andosca and brother-in-law Ralph and sisters-in-law, Arlene Jones and Judy Dousis. She was preceded in death by brothers, Phillip Lloyd Jr. and Robert Lloyd Sr.

Patricia treasured her time with her many nieces and nephews and loved our large family gatherings. She also cherished time with lifelong friends. She was a lover of animals and owner of many. Pat was also an avid fan of Jeopardy! We ALL knew not to call her between 7:00-7:30 p.m.

She was known by most as Mama Lee and if you had a problem, she would try to help you work it out.

Along with her husband Carl, Pat loved to be involved in all aspects of her kid's lives, she was involved in Little League Baseball, Little League Softball, cheerleading, a Den Mother in Cub Scouts and Assistant Leader with Girl Scouts. Pat and Carl also owned and operated Riverbreeze Deli on Montauk Avenue for 8 years and always loved to see the regulars coming in. She was a lifetime member of St. James Episcopal Church in New London, was a former member of the Vestry and she especially loved the holiday services.

We couldn't have asked for a better wife and mother and will miss her every day. Pat's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

She wants all to remember that she will always be looking down and listening to what you have to say. She loves you all. And we know this to be true because she wrote most of this obituary a week ago.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, at Neilan and Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Avenue, New London. Church services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at St. James Episcopal Church, 76 Federal St., New London.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the CT Humane Society in Pat's name.

Carl,
I´m so sorry to hear this. The best part of my police career was doing community based events with you and Pat. You two have certainly made a positive difference for the youth of New London. Not just for years but decades of timeless volunteerism in New London asking for nothing in return. Pat earned her place in heaven. She was a very nice woman.

To the Lee Family-
I´m very sad to read this. Mrs.Lee was a great lady. I have such nice memories of Mr. and Mrs. Lee throughout the years from the old neighborhood and beyond. She was kind and caring and always wanted an update of everyone´s lives when I would see her around town. I can imagine how much you will miss her. She was a NL staple and will be missed by many. My sympathies to you all. May she get her rewards in heaven.

My deepest sympathies to the Lee family. I remember the delicious "grinders" we'd get at the neighborhood deli as a child. On numerous occasions, I enjoyed sitting with Mrs. Lee at Sunday morning services. She was a lovely person with a generous heart. I will miss her. May fond memories bring your family comfort and peace.

Pat was one of my dearest friends and she will be truly missed. My last
words to her was "I love you" and I meant every word. She would look down
on us and smile and say "don't worry about me, I'm home".
