Patricia Lynch Obituary
Patricia A. Lynch, 79, of Niantic, entered eternal rest July 11, 2025, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family. A devout Catholic and a gentle soul, Patricia lived a life of joyful service and devoting her heart to nurturing young children in both their learning and their faith.
Born March 2, 1946, she felt called from a young age to guide and uplift children. As an elementary teacher for years, she taught with patience, warmth, and a deep love for each child placed in her care. She taught at Oakdale Elementary School, where her classroom became a place of discovery, laughter, and grace.
A faithful parishioner at St Agnes Church, Patricia was active in practicing, sharing, and teaching our beliefs. Her days were rooted in prayer, and her life reflected Christ's love through quiet acts of compassion and unwavering kindness. She was an active member of the morning rosary and Monday morning prayer group. Pat enjoyed the many retreats with the church, as an avid traveler she visited five out of the seven continents.
Patricia is survived by her two nieces, Kathryn Lynch and Susan Lynch; and a nephew Dennis Lynch and his wife Jennifer Lynch; a great-niece Samatha Beyer, and great-nephews, Kyle, Brian, and Zackary Lynch. Predeceased by her parents, Dennis Patrick and Madeline Fife Lynch; her brother Dennis Patrick Lynch and his wife Mary Bek Lynch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, at St Agnes Church, 22 Haigh Ave., Niantic, with burial to follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, at Thomas L Neilan & Sons, 48 Grand St., Niantic. Please visit www.neilanfuneralhome.com to leave the family an online condolence.
Fisher Florist of New London will be providing the flowers arrangements for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Agnes Catholic Church in memory of Patricia A Lynch's legacy of love and faith.
