Patricia Sanders Obituary

Waterford – Patricia "Pat" Anne Sanders, 83, of Waterford and Jensen Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully Aug. 24, 2025, in Waterford.

Patricia was first married to Robert Stevenson from 1961 to 1979, and blessed with four children. In 1986, she married Ethelbert "Bert" Sanders, with whom she shared many happy years until his passing in 1998. They especially enjoyed time boating together with summer trips to Block Island and Newport. She later met her devoted companion, Edward Singer, in 2007, and together they enjoyed many years travelling and spending time together, splitting their time between Jensen Beach, Fla., and Waterford.

She was a loving mother to four children: Robert Stevenson and his wife Lori of Preston, and their children, Bob, Mat, and Jillian Eisenhard; Kevin Stevenson and his wife Andrea of New London, and their son Liam; Catherine Sarvas and her husband Rick of Voluntown; and Alicia Farrer and her husband Sean of Key West ,Fla., and their children, Wesley and Troy.

Patricia's career spanned both banking and business. While raising her four children, she worked diligently to advance her career, serving as a manager at Hartford National Bank before later joining Ortronics, where she ultimately retired.

She lived life with a joyful spirit, humor and many passions. Patricia especially love golfing, gardening and traveling, with cherished memories of cruises to the Caribbean, Europe, and South America. She found beauty in flowers and birds, and she especially treasured time spent with her family. She was a true friend, a devoted companion and a loving mother, grandmother and sister. The holidays brought her great joy, with Christmas being her favorite. She was well known for her beautifully decorated home, both inside and out, a reflection of her warmth and festive spirit. She was a devoted member of St. James church of New London, and All Saints church in Jensen Beach, Fla.
