Ralph DeBiasi Obituary
Ralph was born in Brooklyn on June 30, 1946, the son of Ralph Michael DeBiasi, Sr. and Ida DeBiasi.
He was near the water all of his life. His passion for sailing started at a young age with his first boat, a sunfish, where he first experienced the joy of the water.
He attended Lynbrook High School and New York University where he studied finance and accounting.
Over the years, he developed and maintained many meaningful family and personal relationships.
In his last few years, he returned home to be closer to the family homestead in Noank.
Ralph enjoyed sitting on the front porch of his grandfather's home and would frequently say, "Who would ever leave this place?"
For all his contributions, Ralph was generous, jolly and had a great sense of humor. Ralph enjoyed going to Block Island by boat or with his bike. Over the last few years the Stonington Harbor Yacht Club was a fun place for Ralph to laugh, eat and have good times with his friends.
He leaves his beloved wife and partner of 38 years, Mary DeBiasi; his two children, Nancy (DeBiasi) Gillen of Rockville Centre, N.Y. (Peter Gillen), Ralph DeBiasi III (Erin Murphy DeBiasi); and grandson, Connor DeBiasi.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at the Mystic Funeral Home on Route 1 in Mystic. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, 69 Groton Long Point Rd., Groton. Burial will follow at the Noank Valley Cemetery in Noank on Route 215.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to the Noank Historical Society, 17 Sylvan St., Noank, Conn. 06340.

So sorry for your loss. I just had the please of meeting Raplh a few weeks ago in the office at Hunt Yachts. Just a few brief moments in chatting, I thought to myself, what a nice man. Deepest Sympathies to your family.

My husband and I recently moved to Noank where we met Ralph and his family through my sister and brother in law. Ralph and Mary quickly became some of our best friends in Noank and we shared many great times together both on the water and in our homes. You will be missed so much, Ralph. Ralph was kind enough to extend his house to me and my son during Sara's wedding. He was so gracious, kind, funny and generous. His passing was a tragic loss. Condolences and blessings to his family.

I have only known Ralph for several years but
his warmth and sincerity has led to an outstanding
friendship. The enjoyable hours I spent with him
ashore and on the water will be remembered
forever.
I want to extend my heartfelt sympathy to
Mary and all of the DeBiasi for their untimely
