Ramon Nieves Obituary
He was Born in Morovis, Puerto Rico, on Oct. 4, 1948, to the late Felix Nieves and Cruz Miranda. Ramon took great pleasure in helping others, whether it was watching his grandbabies, teaching or fixing cars. Everything he did was to the absolute best of his ability. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Delia Bracerro; brother, Juan Nieves; son, Ramon Nieves Jr.; and two granddaughters, Alycea McIver and Issabella Torres.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam Torres; brother, Perfecto Nieves; sister, Rasa Nieves; six children, Jose, Tony and Miriam Nieves, Tito, Tony and Cacun Torres; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, at the Lester Gee Funeral Home, 108 Blinman St., New London. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday.

I want to extend my friendship and remember of my neighbor was love for people, always a good fisherman. He always teach his kids to be the best they could, be among others as fair as he can.
