Robert Anger Obituary
Rob had a deep love for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Hunting was one of his favorite hobbies, and he found solace in the tranquility of the Maine wilderness where he built a beautiful home and felt most at peace.
Rob leaves behind a loving family, including his father Robert K. Anger Sr.; his aunt Jan Griffin; his daughter Cailyn Anger; and his sisters, Kimberly Kowalchuk (John Kowalchuk) and Tammy Sousa (Timothy Sousa). He was also cherished by his niece and nephews, Troy, Michael, Tara and Timmy; and many life-long friends. Rob was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Anger.
The church service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Flanders Baptist and Community Church located at 162 Boston Post Road, East Lyme. All are welcome to attend and share their special memories of Rob. Following the ceremony, a gathering to celebrate Rob's life will be held at the Lyme Tavern, located at 229 W. Main Street, Niantic. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Maine Conservation Alliance (www.protectmaine.org), the MPN Research Foundation (www.mpnresearchfoundation.org) or the charity of your choice.
Rob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness, his craftsmanship and his love for the great outdoors.
