Dear Aunt Bev and family,

This is a sad time for all of you. You can hold on to all of the good memories. I know I have a lot and so do all of my children. I even remember one Christmas when I was a little girl, it must have been during the depression. I only remember one present that day "a set of dishes" from Uncle Bob. To this day I think of how thrilled I was to receive those dishes.

The times John and I used to play cards on Saturday nights. The picnics, fireworks with the kids, and way back when Mike and I used to help on weekends with the vegetables. Karen riding from the EB parking lot with Uncle Bob when he was still working at EB. Mike used to see him also and talk with him when he worked at EB. And of course they all loved camping out and while there visiting with you and Uncle Bob. The time he brought Aunt Sade and Aunt Liz down to the campsite in the back of a wagon pulled with the tractor (I think). Colleen and her boys camping out almost a whole summer. They would stop and have chats with him.

So many good times, I can't write about all of them. But we will see each other and reminisce together. We will laugh and we will cry together.

I love you all, Darlene

Henry and The Appleton Family, I came to know you on Stillman Avenue prior to me meeting James seven years ago. Your Dad and my In-Laws are family. You have many of your Dad's quality's - instead of driving though- you would spend many spring and summer evenings on my Mothers porch with my relatives visiting with the neighbors. Please know your whole family is in our prayers at this time. Bob will be greatly missed by us all on Boombridge and throughout the town. God Bless you.

You and Bob were a part of my life for as long as I can remember (even at your wedding). I will always remember the circus and The Little Red Wagon (restaurant) Bob took me for my first milk shake there.

God Bless you and always know we are just a phone call away.

There aren't many memories from my childhood that don't have the Appletons in them. Having the path through the woods to your house was like having a path to a second family. You are in my prayers during this difficult time.

Oh how we'll all miss seeing that little car driving through our end of Town, or bumping into the "Old, Old Fart" at Stop and Shop or Westerly Packing. There will be that empty seat at the games and at all of the family get togethers.

Your Dad will be greatly missed by everyone, he was a wonderful man and you've all got terrific memories of the times shared. Just think Deb, no more interruptions while your taking your morning showers!!!

Our sympathies and thoughts are with each one of you..

Your friends,

Whip and Jody
