Bobby graduated from East Lyme High School in 1984. After graduating he worked at Mitchell's Market and Niantic Lumber in East Lyme. He was an avid Boston Red Sox, Oakland Raiders and UConn Huskies fan. He played on several softball teams where he was well known for his power hitting. During his playing days he won numerous Power Hitting and Home Run Derby contests.
He is survived by a sister, Sherry Tinker, of Niantic; brothers, Ronald Brewster, of Oakdale, Scott Aldridge, of Shelton, and Michael Aldridge and his wife, Debra, of Baltic; grandmothers, Grace Denison, of Waterford and Helen Welcome, of Niantic; aunts and uncles, John and Gerry Brewster, of Waterford, George and Cindy Denison, of Waterford, Judith Schofield, of New London, Eunice and Jerry Pitko, of Hawaii, Karen Abbot, of Groton, Leslie Leone, of Ledyard and Terry Valentine, of Florida. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bobby was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Brewster and his sister, Janet McIntosh.
All are invited to attend a memorial service at Flanders Baptist and Community Church, 138 Boston Post Road, East Lyme on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at 11 a.m.

My Heart goes out to the entire Brewster family...SPECIALLY TO MR.B you have held your head so very high through the years.
It has been a # of yrs since I saw Rob, but he was diffiantly full of spirt and spunk.
I know that Rob is with his brother & Sister no longer weighted down by the issues of Hunnington's Diease. God Bless you all.

uncle bobbo... i miss you everyday and i think about you all the time. all you ever wanted to do was play your sports and have a good time with everyone there was know one who could keep you away from them. i loved growing up watching you my baseball idol play. every time you would get up to bat all i would run to the fence and wait to get your home runs. but even when you were sick you still played baseball even in the nursing home. uncle bobby i will miss you forever and i will one day see you again i just hope that wherever you are your in a softball field with everyone watching you. i love you bobby and i always will im just glad that you are at peace and not suffering anymore
love your nephew

My Uncle Bobby was a terrific man. I loved going to softball games to watch him play. It was never a question of "if he hit a homerun" rather " how many did he hit!!!" He was always up to play wiffle ball(homerun derby), pass the football, shoot some hoops... He loved his sports. He was always happy and so caring. When you were in his company you were bond to have fun. He will be missed and loved always and never forgotten. Bobby you are my hero...
