East Lyme - Robert Allen Brewster, 41, of East Lyme, lost his courageous battle with Huntington's disease Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at Harrington Court in Colchester surrounded by family and friends.
He was born April 17, 1966, son of Ronald Brewster of Waterford and June and Michael Aldridge of East Lyme.
Bobby was a loving caring person who had an engaging personality. He was well liked by all who met him. One of his favorite sayings was "who couldn't love Bob-Bob".
Bobby graduated from East Lyme High School in 1984. After graduating he worked at Mitchell's Market and Niantic Lumber in East Lyme. He was an avid Boston Red Sox, Oakland Raiders and UConn Huskies fan. He played on several softball teams where he was well known for his power hitting. During his playing days he won numerous Power Hitting and Home Run Derby contests.
He is survived by a sister, Sherry Tinker, of Niantic; brothers, Ronald Brewster, of Oakdale, Scott Aldridge, of Shelton, and Michael Aldridge and his wife, Debra, of Baltic; grandmothers, Grace Denison, of Waterford and Helen Welcome, of Niantic; aunts and uncles, John and Gerry Brewster, of Waterford, George and Cindy Denison, of Waterford, Judith Schofield, of New London, Eunice and Jerry Pitko, of Hawaii, Karen Abbot, of Groton, Leslie Leone, of Ledyard and Terry Valentine, of Florida. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bobby was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Brewster and his sister, Janet McIntosh.
All are invited to attend a memorial service at Flanders Baptist and Community Church, 138 Boston Post Road, East Lyme on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at 11 a.m.
Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London, is assisting with the arrangements.

My Heart goes out to the entire Brewster family...SPECIALLY TO MR.B you have held your head so very high through the years.
It has been a # of yrs since I saw Rob, but he was diffiantly full of spirt and spunk.
I know that Rob is with his brother & Sister no longer weighted down by the issues of Hunnington's Diease. God Bless you all.
