Robert Kraft Obituary

Deland, Fla. - Robert Kraft, 77, formerly of Deland, Fla., passed away upon sunrise on April 9, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 5, 1940, in Baltimore, Md. He was the son of the late Harry and Doris Kraft and the brother of Billy and Lisa Kraft, both of Florida.

Robert Served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1961, and received an honorable discharge. He was stationed in Boston when he met and married Isabella Sutherland of Boston, Mass. They started their family and moved to Connecticut.

Robert began his career as a journeyman electrician, and after numerous schools and seminars he reitred as a senior test technologist, level 4, for Northeast Testing, Inc., of Wallingford. Most of Robert's career was spent traveling the country until his wife Isabella passed away Nov. 2, 1985.

Robert was a loving father of four children and their significant others, Cheryl Kraft and Judy Derench of Niantic, Debra and John Smith of Oakdale, Karen Kraft and Joseph Morris of Uncasville, and Robert and Kimberly Kraft of Norwich. Robert also leaves behind five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Robert will be greatly missed by his family and all those who were touched by his kindness and sense of humor. Robert will also be missed by his nine, four-legged grandchildren who adored him. The family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.

All I have to say is Robert Kraft was a great man we had are ups and downs but I still loved him and always will I miss u grandpa one day we all will be a big family again together and I cant wait for that day to come love and miss u ❤
