Robert Traver Obituary

Groton - Robert C. Traver, 72, of Groton, beloved husband of Julia (Smith) Traver died March 15, 2021, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. He was born in New London, and lived in the area most of his life.

He graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a degree in history. He was especially interested in the Civil War and World War I and II. He was employed as a technical writer and editor at Electric Boat until illness forced him to retire. He was a member of All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church of New London. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Please visit www.montvillefuneralhome.com to leave an online tribute or condolence.
