Ruth Tombari Obituary
Ruth was born in Norwich, the daughter of the late Cecelia (Spissak) and Dr. Seraphino Tombari. She spent her childhood living at Seaside Regional Center where her father was the attending physician. Ruth attended the University of St. Joseph's in West Hartford where she obtained her teaching degree. Ruth taught in the New London School system and upon her retirement continued her love of education by teaching yoga and exercise classes at Lyme Shores in East Lyme.
Ruth enjoyed tennis, reading and was a fixture on the Niantic Boardwalk after her retirement while living at Crescent Point. She was a lover of life and a friend to all. She will be missed by all. The family would like to thank the staff at Crescent Point and Bride Brook for the attentive care over the past few years.
Ruth was predeceased by her son, Charles Arthur Towsley Jr. She is survived by her brother Robert J. Tombari of Mystic, his companion, Charlene Lynch; and her brother Paul Tombari, his wife Leslie of Fishers Island, N.Y.; and her niece Meris Enright.
There are no funeral services planned. Fulton Theroux Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Ruth and I were neighbors for more than 20 years. We walked, hiked, kayaked and did yoga together. Many fond memories of fun times.
