Hey my Brother - Just rec'd an email reminder of your passing... Can't believe it's been 4 yrs... The whole pandemic angle didn't make letting you go any easier... Took me until last year to take your NL Soccer shirt off my mantle... You always made it easy to believe you were 'good, OK, doin alright'... Wish I had been around more... Love you Brother

I'm just learning of Ryan's passing. I'm saddened to see this. I hadn't heard from him in a few months, so I typed his name in and learned of his passing. He was a kind, caring person and soul. I'll have fond memories of seeing him around New London. We crossed paths in 2016, and stayed in touch, and always ran into each other. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. May you be at Eternal peace, and soar with the eagles Ryan! Never forget you brother. Sully

"The measure of a person's life is not in the years they have lived, but in the lives they have touched." I met Ryan at Colby-Sawyer College in the early 90s. As a small school, friendships grew quickly. Ryan always had a smile on his face. He was there to help, to listen, to party, to compete, to play and just to be.
I will use these memories to remember and smile at this sad time and hope you do too. As 2020 ends, let 2021 be a time to remember, hope, and heal. With deepest condolences, Jill Rivers (CSC Class of 1995)

My thoughts are with all who feel the hurt in their heart after losing the sweet man. I knew Ryan from his Sunapee, New Hampshire days. We sure did have some fun times. He was so easy to be around and easy to talk to. Even after his Sunapee, New Hampshire days we still kept in touch. I will miss his beautiful presence and his beautiful face. ♥

I was so profoundly sorry to hear about Fugi’s passing. I grew up playing soccer with him on the Southeastern CT teams and then again at St. Bernard. He was quick with a smile, always lightened the mood, and great to be around. I was honored to be able to call him a friend. Keeping his family in my thoughts and prayers.

Ryan and I met each other at the Anchorage in Sunapee NH. He and I became great buds and even when he went back home we kept in touch. Over the years we would call one another every couple of months. Then it was every month, then every other week. Fugee and I made a pact during Covid-19 that we would.call every week and we did. When he passed I was expecting the weekly call and I got a.message from a mutual friend he and I shared and I lost it. I am still reeling from this. He was truly one of my best friends. I wish I could be at the funeral, but I am a high risk for Covid, but I want to say to his family, my heart goes out to all of you. I'm really gonna miss him. I love ya bro, one love, tell Jerry Garcia thank you! At least you're up there with Maradona, your idol.

Ryan was one of the nicest guys I had the pleasure of knowing. We played so much soccer and other games at Harbor School growing up. Whenever I ran in to him it was as if we had never parted. It was just such a joy to know and be around him. He had a love of life and his light shined so bright in every moment I every had with him. He was one of the kindest and coolest guys I knew growing up. My deepest condolences to his family and all of the people who are hurting from this great loss.

I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of Ryan. We met way back in 1984 on the Southeast United Soccer team with coach Bill. All through the years we played together and as competitors. It was fun to follow his career. I’m so glad he was able to make a difference in so many peoples lives. Rest In Peace, Ryan and go talk talk shop with coach Bill! You will be missed.

I knew Ryan on and off the field, since we were in kids high school. Our lives once again connected on the field when he coached my boys in camps and clinics. Ryan will always be remembered as a local talent who was truly passionate about the game, supported youth development and inspired many to give their very best.
Please Rest In Peace my friend.
Condolences to his family.

I’ve known Fugi since I was a child. He was a family friend turned family. He was always a pleasure to have around and was always the sweetest! He knew my kids and was so excited to watch them play sport especially soccer! I pray for his family and will always remember him and miss seeing him especially at Caulkin’s park!

We are so heartbroken to hear about Ryan’s passing. Fugi was such a great person. My boys were small when Fugi came into our lives via the love for soccer. We remained friends even after moving areas. He was always attentive, fun and just lovely. I am so sorry for everyone’s loss. Rest easy Coach.
