Sharon Olean Obituary
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Sciallaba) Riggs.
Sharon worked in the Retail Dept. for Foxwoods Resort & Casino for many years and was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.
In addition to her devoted husband Chuck, she leaves two children, Joseph M. Olean of Kenvil, N.J. and Brittany M. Olean of Griswold; four brothers, James Riggs of Westerly, Charles Riggs of New Jersey, Gary Riggs of Florida and Kevin Riggs of Pawcatuck; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs Cyrus and Benny.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. There is no procession from the funeral home to church. Burial will be private.

How we will miss our dear friend Sharon. The entire Martin family held Sharon close to our hearts and always will. She was a wonderful friend and someone you could always count on to make you laugh like hell!! She will be so sadly missed by each and everyone of the Martin family, past and present!! She was a shinning light and one person you could count on to make you laugh so hard that you would cry!!! How we will miss her!! I am just so happy that we have her beloved daughter joining our family...our sweet Brittney will be marrying our awesome nephew Ryan in the new future and it will always be a bond for us all. We will miss you Sharon and your awesome HUMOR!!! We will NEVER FORGET YOU AND YOUR GREAT PERSONALITY!!! Dear Charles, Joseph and Brittany Olean,
My brother, Louis Lupica, and I send our sincere sympathy to you on the passing of our cousin, Sharon. Our grandmother, Rosaria Ventimiglia Lupica and your grandmother, Mary, were sisters. Our father was Cosmo Lupica. We remember visiting cousins Grace and Charlie Riggs and Grand Aunt Mary when we went to Westerly to visit our grandmother. We also remember all of you Riggs cousins. Lots of kids and lots of fun !We are the Lupica's who live in New London. Sharon and all of her family will be in our prayers. God bless you.
