Stephon Hodge Obituary
Born in New London, he lived in Mystic all of his life and was a Stonington High School graduate, class of 2015.
Phon was recently employed with Cedar Ridge Landscape in Pawcatuck and Whittle's Willow Spring Farm in Mystic.
Besides his parents, he leaves his three sisters Brianna Hodge of Mystic, and Natasha and Jasmine Hodge both of Norwich; his cousins Derek W. Mitchell, Anthony J Hodge, Danasiah I. Mitchell, Brandon K.J. Sullivan, and Anessa S.M. Sullivan all of Norwich; maternal grandparents William and Judith Mitchell of Mystic; his step-grandmother Mildred Hodge of Groton, and paternal grandmother Gwendolyn Washington of New London. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Willis "Duke" Hodge. He is also survived by his aunt Dawn M. Mitchell; nieces Jaz-Aniyah, H. Daluz, Jazriel T. Walker; nephew Quaniel A. Smith; along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Phon enjoyed farming, animals, football, dirt biking, four-wheeling, fishing, lacrosse and camping. He also loved listening to country music and being with his friends.
His family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the Mystic Funeral Home located on Route 1 in Mystic.
On Saturday, May 5, from 2 to 6 p.m., all are invited to remember Phon at the Westerly Elks, 1 Dixon St., Westerly.

Stephon was one of the sweetest, most considerate, selfless people I have ever met. Any time I was with him he was always checking to see if I needed anything. Stephon truly had an amazing personality with a big heart and those who got to know him will forever be blessed. rest in paradise Phon, you are missed so much

My heart goes out to all of you in your time of unbelievable loss.
I knew Stephon when I ran the Homework Club at Deans Mill School many years ago. He was a wonderful kid and as so many have already remembered, his smile brought sunshine where ever he went.
I have always held a warm spot in my heart for Stephon. I cannot even begin to imagine your sorrow.

To Stephon's Family,
Stephon graduated in my class in 2015 and was a kind hearted athlete an amazing perosn who touched the lives of many, including mine. Although we were not close, I have many memories of him making the entire class laugh. I send my condolences out to his family as we all mourn the loss of someone who had so much more life to live.

Stephon was always so cute and shy as a little kid. I always remember his smile the day he graduated pre school with his cousin Sabrenna Dasilva. They grew up together and they graduated high school with the same smiles. Stephon, we may not have spoken often but you were never forgotten nor ever will be. Rest in heaven, we all will see you again.

Your family has our deepest sympathy for the loss of your son and brother Stephon. I lost a brother aged 21 when I was 20. It is a sadness for life, but I carry him in my heart. I know that you will always carry Stephon in your hearts too. The memories of the time you had with him, so precious.
