She is survived by two sons, one brother, seven sisters, five granddaughters and one grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Bernard Cousens and two sisters, Donna Fish and Audrey Peralas.
There will be a Celebration of Life from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 6, at the VFW in Mystic.

I'll always remember the very first time I met her almost 26yrs ago, Zim of course played a joke and she was so embarrassed, I will always remember how even that first moment her son brought me home,I was accepted and a part of something I never had even in that moment from the very beginning. I'm lost, not only did I loose her boy ,I also lost a mother unlike any other. I will always be missing something within myself, because I am without them.
