Vanessa Montanari Obituary
She was born March 22, 1958, in New London, to the late Joseph and Lillie (Bloomer) Yakesh. She attended local schools in New London, and has been a lifelong resident. She was united in marriage to Joe Montanari, on Dec. 29, 1979, in New London. Joe, her husband of nearly 38 years, survives her. She is also survived by two children, Michael Montanari and Melissa (Rob) Couture, as well as her brother, John Brennan, all of New London. She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald "Humphrey" Scott and Joseph Brennan.
Her family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, followed by a 1 p.m. service at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society CT Chapter, 659 Tower Ave., First Floor, Hartford, CT 06112-1269.
